I found something interesting at the thrift store just outside of town. Someone was giving away an old sign from a bar, with a small chalkboard on which to list the day's specials. The name of the bar (I am assuming) was The Jolly Lobster.
I just had to buy it.
So now I have a sign outside of my house, with a daily special message on it. It is like a welcome mat, but better. I could not think of what to write on it today, though, so it just says "Please do not eat me". I am sure I'll be more creative tomorrow.

I have purchased a pumpkin in order to decorate for tomorrow. I do not have a costume, but I do not want anybody to think I am not friendly. What is a good expression for a pumpkin? Something scary? Or should it be scared, since I will be cutting it up and pulling out its insides?
Such a strange tradition.
